I haven’t done one of these in awhile and I have been pinning stuff like crazy lately, so I figured I would share some with you all! I’m off to Denver tonight for my bachelorette weekend and so excited! I will do a post  about it when I get back!

Enjoy! Xo

1. I have seen lots of popsicle recipes popping up this summer. These sound SO delicious.

2. I really love unique pieces of jewelry. These pendants are made of broken china. How neat!

3. This bedside table is so awesome. And seems fairly simple to make!

4. Need to give your apartment just a little something but don’t want to make permanent marks? This washi tape is adorable when added to an entryway and peels right off!

This top was gifted to me by my wonderful friend Leanne. It is a gorgeous top and I think looks great paired with these black shorts! I think a black pencil skirt would be adorable too! I always look forward to her gifts as I know it will be something great!

I recently got these yellow shorts at Target to add to my summer short collection and I just adore them! They are such a fun shade of yellow and can be dressed up or down. I saw this outfit inspiration on Pinterest (where else?!) and decided to give it a try. I really love the nude/gold with the yellow. It makes for a summery but casual look. Not only is this outfit simple and fun but Handsome would never lose track of me in these bright bottoms. The addition of the aqua bubble necklace keeps the outfit playful and bright, breaking up the nude tones. I am just loving these bright colors for summer. What is your favorite outfit with a bright color as the main focus? BTW – if you are wondering what I’m looking/smiling at, that would be my dogs fighting over a stick. Taz always wins for the record.

Enjoy! Xo

First off, I know it’s Thursday and I am SO sorry I didn’t get to post this yesterday. A 3 hour long staff meeting to start your day will just mess all kinds of things up! So here we are with this week’s installment of Wedded Bliss Wednesdays on a Thursday. Sigh. I’ll get it together one day! Bridesmaid dresses have become such an integral part of planning a wedding because it’s all about achieving the look you want. Brides are so creative now with what they make their lovely maids wear that the sky is the limit. Want all the traditional,  same color and style of dress? Sure! Want to have one style but all different colors? Why not? Want them to wear funky tights and a skirt and top they own? Go for it! The point is, you want these special ladies to be comfortable on your day and you want them to feel good. There is nothing worse than a bridal party standing at the alter fidgeting because their dresses are too tight or too short. So, with that being said, I have included some of my favorite picks out there right now for bridesmaids below. Happy Browsing!

Enjoy! Xo

formal

Love this for a formal wedding. I just adore Black Tie Weddings. There is something really special about seeing all of your loved ones dressed up for your big day!

highlow

This asymmetrical hemline is just beautiful. Paired with a heel, it is a stunning bridesmaid ensemble.

lime

I actually love this lemon-lime color! Plus, the dress is beautiful. I can imagine it would be flattering on most girls as well!

long

I think this is such a great idea. Have your bridesmaids all get a certain length of dress (in this case, long) and then have them choose from a few colors that you like. It gives them a chance to have a dress they really love and is a great affect for the bridal party look.

longnude

Or how about all of them in floor length, nude dresses? It creates a beautiful look for any wedding!

mismatch

Lastly, you can have a certain color for your maids to choose from (in this case, nudes) and have them pick a dress they like. I just love this look

oneshoulder

This Grecian-inspired dress is beautiful. With the pleating and the one-shouldered style, I’m sure your bridesmaids will thank you for picking a flattering dress!

orange

Or how about having a designer on Etsy create a whole mismatched line for your wedding? These dresses are ADORABLE and I LOVE the poppy color!

poofy

Another great option for a formal wedding. Plus, this dress is just too cute for words.

twotoned

The two-toned look for bridesmaids definitely allows you to play in the color scheme a little more. Plus, it makes it a little less formal.

white

And last, but certainly not least, this classic silhouette which would look great on anyone. This dress is adorable in the color pictured or any colors you may want! Plus, it allows you to have a couple colors in the dress.

There is just something classic about black and red together. It creates a bold statement all it’s own without needing lots of accessories. I love how the ruffled texture of this dress gives the outfit a bit of a playful vibe. Plus, how hot are these shoes?! Just love, love, love them. It’s always fun putting together trendy outfits but there is just something simple about sticking with gorgeous classics. I love the length of this blazer too. It is very flattering and instantly dresses up any outfit from a dress to shorts and a blouse!

Handsome and I spent most of this weekend being lazy and playing with our pups. On Sunday evening, we headed over for family dinner per tradition. I spent most of the weekend in running shorts and a t-shirt so I wanted to dress up a bit. I just love this white dress. It is very light and airy so it’s perfect for hot days. However, it can be dressed up with some cute pink strappy wedges or dressed down like I did with some fun (and BRIGHT!) accessories! Also, I am a bit obsessed with these Cole Haan boat shoes. I have never owned any boat shoes because they make my feet look just like that…boats! However, with the shortened toe area and this fun color, these are just perfect! Anyways, this outfit will probably go into my rotation this summer for a fun, playful but simple look to run errands, go to the market or for a breakfast out!

Enjoy! Xo

Ever have those days where you walk into your home and look around you and just see utter chaos? You don’t recognize anything around you because your life has been so crazy busy that you don’t even know what day it is? Whenever I have those moments, it’s a great reality check to stop and just breathe for a minute. The last two weeks at work have been so hectic that I haven’t been able to keep up with the little things at home like doing laundry, planning meals for dinner, playing with my dogs and I have even struggled with blogging! When all of that starts to pile up on you, plus the busy work schedule, it can make life seem a little overwhelming. That’s why I wanted to write a blog post about how to take just 15 minutes a day to stay on top of your life so you don’t end up with frazzled hair and bug eyes one day. Because let’s be honest, those dark circles under your eyes aren’t flattering on anyone.

All of these things you can do in 15 minutes to help you catch your breath.

Enjoy! Xo

1. MAKE YOUR BED! Just do it first thing in the morning and be done with it. It’s not fun, no one wants to start off their day by making the bed, but it helps to keep a room looking clean. Also, it starts your day off productively. So just do what your mom has always taught you and make your bed.

2. Respond to e-mails as soon as you get them. Even if you don’t have a definite answer yet to the question, just reply “I will get back to you.” It’s better than it sitting in your inbox for days before you decide to respond. Plus, it gets it off your plate!

3. At home, take your 15 minutes and clean out the nearest drawer or cabinet to you. Throw out any trash, any old stained shirts, whatever it may be. If you did this every day, your house would be organized and neat all the time!

4. Get your stuff ready for the next day, the night before. Make sure you know where your keys are, what you might wear, have your lunch packed, etc. Mornings are rushed as it is, save yourself some time! Need some outfit inspiration? I love Kendi Skeen’s blog, Kendi Everyday, to help me put together great outfits!

5. Visit 5 random (or your favorite) blogs a day. This can help spark creative juices in yourself and give you more energy to get through the rest of your day. I love these to help me get my creative juices flowing : SoulPancake and A Beautiful Mess

6. Start just one load of laundry. It doesn’t matter if this just cleans up the dirty clothes on the floor or empties your laundry basket. Start one load so that you don’t spend an entire day later on doing laundry.

7. Take those 15 minutes and clean out a part of your closet. Having clothes in there that you never wear can be overwhelming and then you stand in your closet pulling your hair out because you can’t find anything to put on! Just get rid of it if you haven’t worn it in 6 months or more! Donate to a local Goodwill or Salvation Army or try and sell them to a local consignment shop!

8. Plan out your meals for a few days or the week! Take some of your favorite recipes or those cookbooks that never get opened and just plan away! This helps with being stressed about what is for dinner each night and saves money from those last minute $25 take out nights! Use this site to help you get started!

9. Go to Whatshouldireadnext.com and find your next book to read! It’s a great site that just has you put in a favorite author or title and spits out a list of other books that you would enjoy!

10. At the end of the day, write down a to-do list of everything you want to try and tackle tomorrow. It helps to get it all off your mind and that way you won’t forget anything tomorrow! Remember The Milk is a great site to help you if you are a techy to-do lister.

11. Take 15 minutes to call or visit someone who makes you happy. We all get so busy to stay caught up with everyone we love, however just a 15 minute phone call can help cheer you up and catch up with someone near and dear to you!

12. Ever wanted to take an anatomy/physiology class but don’t have the time to go to a local college for it? Use iTunes U to download a course you’ve always wanted to learn. Now who is the smarty pants?

13. Feeling lethargic? Take 15 minutes to jump rope, skip or even just do some jumping jacks. You’ll get your heart going and more than likely, you’ll feel more energized when you are done!

14. Take 15 minutes a day to a cleaner home: spend 15 minutes one day dusting your house or a particular room, the next day, vacuum the same area. Or, clean the bathroom sinks and the next day do the tubs. Either way, spend 15 minutes cleaning your home each day and by the end of the week, you have a clean(er) home and don’t have to spend the entire day doing it!

15. Leave your cellphone behind for a bit. Whether you are going to dinner, taking a bath, running errands – leave it behind! The temporary break from being constantly tuned in will help you relax and accomplish what you set out to do!
